Beach & Bay

We were thrilled with the view from our villa. The photo at the right looks north across Las Brisas to Acapulco Bay. Along the central part of the bay are all the high rise hotels and condominiums, as well as the tourist shops, McDonald's, KFC's, cinemas, discos, etc. This is the 2% of Acapulco that 99% of the tourists see.

While the area around Las Brisas had no beach area, it was different along hotel row. There they had a long, continuous beachfront stretching for miles.

Yes and every 1/10th of a mile there was someone wanting you to buy something -- silver, a jetski ride, dresses, towels, and on and on.

Below that is the same view at night. Pretty spectacular, no?

Western beach
This photo is taken near the cruise ship terminal looking east onto the large public beach. Much nicer than Galveston, I'd say.

While the rest of the boys left on a Monday, Daryl and I stayed an extra day and we stayed at the Fiesta Americana overlooking Condessa beach. There was a bungee jumping tower right outside our window (below, upper left) that dropped you over a tank of dolphins.

The remaining photos are some of the rocks and islands in the bay. The water was very blue and very pretty.
