One day was spent by just to two of us walking around the city, mainly toward the western part of Acapulco Bay.

Fort San Diego is atop a bluff overlooking the western bay. There was a moat
and a real draw bridge. Lucky for us there was no attack in progress, so the
bridge was down and we were allowed to enter.
Actually
the fort was under renovation; most of the interior rooms were being remodeled
into museum showrooms. There was hardly anyone else around, and we had the
roof almost all to ourselves.

The cruise ship terminal is directly across the street from the fort.
Across the
bay in the exact center of this picture is Las Brisas where our villa was
located. You probably can't see them, but no doubt the rest of the guys are
sunning, playing cards, and reading.

We stumbled upon a tiny Internet Cafe, and for a few pesos we could get onto
the Internet. We figured that we would check on our WebCam to assure us that
the house was OK.
The Spanish language version of Windows98 was loaded, so we even got to practice our techno-Espanol. We sent out a couple of emails from our "Southern Office" to friends and co-workers.

This is a photograph I call "Man with Whistle".
He was sitting
outside an egg shop (huevo estacion?) in the market district. Which leads
us to our next stop in this adventure ...
