We had two
priorities in Acapulco: relaxation and working on our tans.
Dave,
David, and Roy were frequent participants at the card table. Here the
two Davids are ganging up on Roy in a game of strip poker.
When you're laying
around doing nothing all day long, the high points are mealtimes. Especially
ours, since we never quite knew what we were going to get; our housestaff
was a little weak in the English language, as we were in Spanish.
Delfino was our
handsome waiter who made killer pina coladas.
Daryl
and I had both taken 6 weeks of level 2 Spanish classes prior to arriving.
We hauled all our learning material down with us and continued to study.
Here, in a rare photograph, is Daryl reading!
Something was definitely
going on with David J's hair. As the week progressed it became dramatically
different. Check out the 'after' photo with the following button.
David
M brought several books along. One he was most into was a book by a
former geisha girl -- one of his secret desires?
Here
is Ray happily working on his 'Death Pillow'.
Roy in a moment
of quiet solitude.
Can you say "Una
mas pina colada, por favor?"
And here is Robert,
giving us his interpretive rendition of "Crucifixion en la piscina".
Robert won the "most
bronze god" award.
It took Robert a
whole year to recover from the savage clubbing deaths of our sailfish
during last year's fishing trip.
