In the spring of 2000, we traveled to England.

I had a 10-day business trip to London, and Daryl joined me mid-way through. My hotel was right beside the London Eye, and across the Thames River from Parliament.

We spent the first weekend exploring the greater London area -- Saturday we spent at nearby Hampton Court, and Sunday we retraced Princess Diana's funeral route from Kensington to Westminster Cathederal.

While I spent the first part of the next week at work, Daryl saw Leeds Castle and the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

Thursday we rented a car and left London, heading for Wales. Along the way we toured Windor Castle and Stonehenge, then spent night and the next morning in Bath. From there we went to Caerphilly Castle and then Cardiff Castle and spent Friday night at a bed and breakfast in Cardiff.

On Saturday we stopped at Aberdulais Falls and headed toward the Brecon Beacons in central Wales. Since our plane departed on Sunday, we headed back toward London and spent the night near the airport.
